In March, Charlene Spierer wrote a blog post addressed to the person responsible for the young woman’s disappearance. ‘You were with Lauren, you know what happened, and you know where she is,’ she wrote. Six months after her daughter went missing, Mrs Spierer had said: ‘I don’t feel like we’re any closer to finding Lauren.’ Robert Spierer added: ‘I still don’t understand what’s happened… I can tell you it’s our worst nightmare.’
